The Technology Library, Engineering branch, is happy to invite you to Atoms in the Family: readings, magazines exhibition, treasure hunt and curiosities from Chicago, in the frame of the festival L'Eredità delle donne 2024.
Atoms in the family is turning 70: what if this book also had a female protagonist, in addition to Enrico Fermi? Let's get to know her together and then... let's play!
Students, professors and librarians of the School of Engineering gather to read the most significant pages of Atoms in the family, a novel by Laura Fermi published in 1954.
At the end of the readings, room for play: a treasure hunt with questions about Laura Fermi will entertain participants and help them learn more about this woman still in the shadows in the twentieth-century history.
Not enough? Curiosities from Laura Fermi's archive, preserved in Chicago, will satiate your hunger!
