About SBA
The University Library System (SBA) groups together all five Subject Area Libraries, the branch libraries, all the resources and library services offered by the University of Florence.
Its purposes are to ensure:
- access, conservation and optimization of all bibliographic material;
- access and dissemination of bibliographic information in digital format;
- support to the research and teaching activities of the University;
- removal of any obstacles disadvantaged users may encounter in accessing the library resources;
The Documentation Centres and the Library Central Coordination Office are also part of the Library System.
