Internet access in the Libraries
Internet access is granted in all the libraries, both through dedicated desktops and with users' own laptops (via ethernet or wireless).
Prior authentication is necessary in order to access the internet and, in line with the functions and objectives of the libraries, it should be done for study and research purposes only. More information on authentication procedures (in italian).
Internet access on users' laptops
The reading rooms have access to the internet through a wireless network.
Users need to set up the proxy server on their laptop and then follow the authentication procedure (all information are in italian).
Note: Within the Social Sciences Library the proxy address is proxy-auth2.unifi.it (instead of proxy-auth.unifi.it), regardless of the browser used.
