The Library of Architecture renews its dedication to all female students, PhD candidates and professors of the DIDA and the School of Architecture with the bibliographic exhibition Aspettando l’8 marzo (Waiting for 8 March), in the hope that their gender perspective will pervade the places of everyday life.
Drawing on the Library’s rich heritage, the exhibition recounts the point of view of women through the books of female architects, urban planners, designers, stylists, artists and authors of the present and the past: from Lina Ghotmeh to Rosa Geroni, from Yasmeen Lari to Gae Aulenti, from Anna Heringer to Cini Boeri, with an extended look at the commitment and talent of women who have changed the world.
The exhibition is completed by the screening of Vogliamo anche le rose, a film by Alina Marazzi.
