The Library, together with the School of Education, is located in via Laura.
The library collection traces the history of the education studies from the Royal Girls Higher Institute for Education (founded in 1882), through the Faculty of Education (est. 1936), to the Department of Education and Psychology as part of the School of Humanities and Education (est. 2013).

There is also an ever growing Reference section, classified according to Dewey Decimal codes.
The following historic collections can be consulted upon request to the Library staff: Fondo Giovanni Costetti, Fondo Alfonso Gatto, Fondo Giacomo Vertova, Fondo Giuseppe Tarozzi, Fondo Mario Valeri (in italian).
The majority of the items are on open shelves.
The loan service is closed between 1 and 2 pm, except for items on open shelves and those with call number starting with DEP, using the self-check desk that requires a valid user card.
Items with call numbers starting with REF (indexes, dictionaries, encyclopedias) and DEP (course set books) are for reference only.
Some of the books are kept in the Villa Ruspoli bookstacks. To request such items users must fill in the online request form by 10 am on Mondays for pick up after 2 pm the next Tuesday.
Besides the main reading room, patrons can use the study room open from Monday to Saturday 8.30 am to 7 pm.
There are 162 seats, of which 127 with power sockets and 22 with desktop PCs. A wireless LAN is available in the library building.
